Enzo and his Uncle Chris!
Let's just say he picked the BEST week to come for a visit!! We had temperatures in the mid 70's to 80's in January! Yes January! I'll try to be mindful of those of you who are knee deep in snow or just really cold!! But it was absolutely gorgeous! Of course I had finally asked Francesco to store our air conditioner just two days earlier! Chris spent the first part of his trip with us. We ate at all the restaurants he misses, took Enzo to the park, walked around downtown, and just had a good time catching up! We were also able to get together with one of his friend's Tom for lunch. It was nice to see him. For the second half of the visit we went to our parents house. The first day we met up with Dad and his friend Dave for a B.B.Q. at the beach. Mom had to work-booo! Enzo had a ball digging in the sand and running in the surf! He learned how to make footprints in the sand too! Later in the day we had a Wii golf tournament between all of us. That is the coolest video game console ever. The next day we had hamburgers on the grill at home and then went to the beach. Enzo kept asking all morning to go to the big wa-wa, his name for waves! This time we brought all the toys from my parents house and he had such a great time playing in the sand. We dipped our toes in the water and ran from the waves again, a new discovery that he loves! Mom and I played with Enzo while Dad and Chris did our usual walk-he wasn't leavin' the sand! Next time we'll reverse that! That night we had dinner at one of our favorite and in my opinion the BEST Mexican restaurant ever,Manuel's. We all had their famous Saturday night special-prawns stuffed with cheese then wrapped in Corralitos Market bacon. And finished with another fav of ours-Polar Bear Ice Cream's Mexican Chocolate! Yummy! Then we had another Wii tournament to work off all those calories! We had a great time and were all so glad to see Chris.
