Our Father's Day...

We had a great day celebrating Father's Day!! We started off with a yummy brunch at Sanderlings at Seascape Resort. I had gone home to get Francesco so we would only have one car at my parents house so we met Grandma, Papa and Enzo at the restaurant. Francesco was greeted by Enzo saying "Happy Father's Day, Daddy!!". It melted his heart and made him really happy!! We had a table outside with a wonderful view of the ocean and beautiful flowers surrounding us. The weather was perfect...just what we ordered for the day!! After that we went home and opened cards and gifts. Enzo and I got Francesco a much needed gift certificate for deep tissue massage. He was really thankful for the gift!! For dinner Papa had gone down to the harbor in the morning and got live dungeness crab for dinner. Thank you for doing that even though it was your day!! That was a real treat for the Dads as well as the Moms!! Enzo even tried several bites and said he liked it! The day was a wonderful celebration of love and family!!

A walk with friends...

They decided to hold hands and walk. So Cute!!

Today Enzo and I met a couple of his friends, Joshua and Ethan, and their moms from his preschool class for a walk along the reservoir. It is a great path for walking, jogging and biking. It winds along the side of the reservoir providing spectacular scenery and lots of wildlife! Enzo kept pointing to the hawks circling above and we also saw a snake!! The boys all had lots of fun running after each other and throwing rocks on the side of the path. Boys will be boys!!! We'll be seeing a lot of his classmates this summer as we all decided to meet for these walks and play dates at a local park each week.

New Addition to Our Family...

WELCOME BABY GABRIEL!!! On June 1st a very happy and healthy baby boy was born to my little sister Kim and her husband Juan!! Of course Mom and Dad were there for the birth and Enzo and I went down when he was 4 days old! It was so wonderful to see my little sister taking on motherhood and doing it well I might add!! He is a really good baby...eats well, sleeps good and makes lots of dirty diapers!! Enzo was in love with his new cousin and gave him lots of kisses!! He held him several times and he even chose the first book to be read to Gabriel by Grandma!! It's one of his favorites called "Snappy Little Colors". Grandma read while Enzo held Gabriel and pointed out the different colors and animals in the book!! Our trip went by much too fast but at least we got to see him in his first few days of life! I know we all cherished those precious moments holding our new family member and can hardly wait to see him again!!

End of Year Preschool Party!!

The school year ended with a really fun party held at one of his classmate's home. We all brought food, drinks and activities for the kids. The highlight was the big bounce house!! They also had huge bubble wands and were busy making bubbles!! A few of the kids found great fun in chalk art too!! Enzo was quite the artist and made a very colorful abstract-although I'm not sure if his clothes or the pavement ended up with more!! They all-more or less-sat down at their mini table to eat pizza!! It was so cute-complete with a flower centerpiece!! Everyone had a great time!! All of us parents decided to keep meeting once a week for a playdate at a local park so the kids can see each other until schoool begins in the fall. Enzo is really looking forward to next year and so are we!!
