The Edge and Bono...love them!!!

This year for Mother's Day the best gifts in my life gave me the best gift...tickets to go see U2 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. I have wanted to go and see them for forever and finally got the chance!! It was an amazing concert. The performance was non-stop and the stage was HUGE!!! Thank you so much to my wonderful husband and sweet baby boy who made me an even happier Mommy!!

Even better...Kimmy and Juan joined us!!

The pictures don't show you how really big the stage was. Biggest stage ever according to articles I have read!

Palm Desert Vacation!!!

Chillin' by the pool!

We headed down to the desert for some much needed relaxation. Most of the family was able to attend-Grandma, Papa, Uncle Juan, Auntie Kim, Baby Gabe, Uncle Chris and Auntie Yael with the exception of our sister Jen and her family due to the arrival of our newest member of the family, baby Jacob. We all missed them a lot! Enzo and I drove down with my parents-each of our cars packed full! It was a nice drive down. Dad had gotten walkie talkies so we had some fun on the way down. Francesco flew in the next day after work on Saturday night. We had 2 huge condos that were situated across from the big pool on the property. It had 3 pools plus a kiddie size pool and 2 hot tubs. Enzo was like a fish and spent all day swimming. He did really well with his floaties and would kick himself around the pool. Everyday consisted of getting up when we did and realaxing by or in the pool. At night we would cook big dinners and enjoy eachother's company. We also celebrated Grandma's 60th Birthday!! Sorry Mom to bust you out!! We surprised her with a decorated condo complete with balloons and streamers on anything standing still!! Dad had asked Francesco to design a banner and being the artist he is he came up with an awesome banner full of pictures. He enlisted the help of all of us to include their favorite photos of times spent with Mom. It turned out great and brought us all back to our earlier years as a family. She was totally surprised!! Afterward we went out to dinner at the main hotel on the property. It was a Japanese restaurant that has the chef cook in front of you. It was so much fun and he was really entertaining!! He tossed shrimp into Uncle Chris', Francesco and Mom's mouths then asked Enzo if he wanted a turn. He said yes and caught it on his first try!! The video of that is down below. Unfortunately the other videos are too long to post but they all caught theirs too-some not on their first try!!! It was a great vacation that ended too soon-don't they all?? It was nice to spend a lot of time with almost all of us kids with Mom and Dad.
*As always way too many pics to post so the rest are at our shutterfly album.

Feeding the ducks. We brought tons of duck food and we all had a good time feeding them. Enzo is keeping Great Grandma Wilson's joy in feeding these guys going. She would have had a lot of fun along side him! I'm sure she was looking down in laughter.

Splish-Splash!!

Nothing better than ice cream on a really hot day!!

A Day at the Beach with Papa and Grandma...

As most already know Papa and Grandma are moving to Florida very shortly :( This has been very hard for me to come to grips with...me being the one kid who never strayed far from Mom and Dad!! I feel very lucky to have had so many good times shared with them. Especially them being with Enzo from birth until 3 years old. He has a very close bond with them and that is the hardest part for me I think. Well no, it is all hard come to think of it.We will really miss all of the time spent staying over at their house for holidays, birthdays or just to be together. It is special to me that Enzo got to be in the house I grew up in with my siblings. He had his first Thanksgiving, first Christmas, first Easter and many more in the very house that I enjoyed those times in too! We were lucky enough to grow up in a very cool town. Some of my earliest memories of being there are of going to the beach on the weekends. My parents took Enzo to "our" beach when he was only months old and we would go for long walks. When he was old enough to play in the sand we would bring him sand toys and he would of stayed all day if we let him!! He loves to dip his toes in the big water as he so named it!! We've enjoyed BBQ's in the summer evenings with family and friends. We are really going to miss them so Francesco and I hired a photographer to capture one of those fun beach days!! Everytime they feel far away I know that one look at those pictures will bring me right back to that day. Here are just a few of the shots...the rest are in our shutterfly album as there are so many!!
