Lots of fun!!!!

This weekend Enzo's "social" calendar was full!! He had his soccer practice on Saturday morning which went okay. He woke up on the wrong side of his bed to start, then tripped and bonked his head. Definitely a rough start!! When we got to practice I noticed I wasn't the only one with a cranky toddler...at least five others were having a bad one too!! So we made the best of it and got through it! Then we dashed home to get ready for a birthday party he was invited to. My co-worker's daughter was turning five. It was a lot of fun for both of us!! It was at a big warehouse full of bounce houses for the kids to play on. We spent time in two different rooms then went to the party room for pizza and cake. Everyone had a great time! On Sunday I had promised him we would go to Dinosaur Park. We had just gotten a bubble blower that is a lion that opens his mouth and the bubbles come out. Enzo has named it his Rrrrrrr! It was really windy since the park is right on the bay so it wasn't working correctly. He chased after the bubbles a little, then we went to the playground and had some fun!!

ENZO'S FIRST SOCCER PRACTICE!!

This morning Enzo started soccer!! He has been excited for this ever since I told him about it in January!! He calls it "soccer peam" instead of team!! It was really fun the way the practice is set up for little ones. They mix things the kids are learning at this age group with soccer skills and each week has a different theme. This week it was all about colors...so the kids dribbled to colored flags, wore colored vests and dribbled to the matching flag and of course kicked some goals which seemed to be the highlight for most. Enzo seemed to enjoy himself and loves to kick the ball, we just have to work on the no hands thing!! They keep the practice short but teach in a way that little ones understand. I definitely recommend it!! Here its called Kidz Love Soccer. Not sure maybe its a nationwide chain or might be just local but I'm sure everywhere has something like it. Great way to start them young!! They finished up with a team huddle and then got a stamp from the coach which was another highlight!! Looking forward to next week and so is Enzo!!

Our Trip to Nonna and Nonno's!!!

Ready for take-off!!

A really good deal on airfare prompted this last minute trip!! Enzo and I headed east for a visit to his Nonna and Nonno's house in Maryland. Since he is two now we have to purchase a ticket for him. Gone are the days of freebie flying, although I think we got our fair share with Enzo taking 39 flights in his first two years!! This trip would make it 41 in all! He was really excited about flying on the plane and getting a big boy seat. All week long he kept saying "Fly in plane, go super fast just like rocket!", for those who don't recognize the saying it is from Little Einsteins!! We had a really great time on our short trip there!! We tried to squeeze in a little of everything...family, friends and fun!! We went to Baltimore, which we have never been to, and had lunch at an Italian deli/store that Francesco and I saw on the Food Network, then visited the National Aquarium. It was amazing but the highlight for Enzo was the dolphin show!! He got so excited seeing them jump out of the water and do flips. The next day my sister Jen and her husband Bob drove down with Matt and Lyza to stay the night. Enzo and Lyza couldn't wait to see each other. This time it hadn't been so long and they got along just fine!! There was still arguing over toys but no hitting or hair pulling!! We all went down to The Mall and visited the American History Museum. It was packed so we only saw a little bit but it was really interesting especially the Abraham Lincoln exhibit. Our day ended with an amazing meal by Joanne (a.k.a. Nonna! ). It was so great to see them!! After they left we met up with Sergio and Jenn for brunch at Belga Cafe. Enzo loves the food there!! Dessert is his favorite though as you can see in the pictures. He had a really good time with his Godfather, Sergio. Enzo just adores him so much! He taught him how to use his iPhone and a lot of new words like Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Over the next couple of days we just spent time together at the house. I got treated to some time off and got to meet up with Jenn, Sergio and Anthony at a bar for happy hour on St. Patrick's Day!! Thank you Nonna and Nonno!! It was their pleasure of course!! Later in the evening they brought Enzo over to meet us at Anthony's house to see Milagros(his mom), Maricel(sister) and Liliana and Gabriel(her kids)! Please pardon any mis-spellings! All the kids were shy at first but warmed up and had a good time playing! Enzo learned how to chew gum without swallowing it from accomplished gum chewer Gabriel! It was hilarious seeing the two of them chomp away!! Sadly this was our last evening and had to head home the next day. Thank goodness for great deals or the trip would not of been possible!! We both had a really good time out there and look forward to our next visit!!

More Preschool!!!

The second week has been just as much fun as the first!! We are getting the hang of our daily "routine" there!! This week the kids are learning about FROGS. A table was set up with "swamp" water and had several different species of frogs and other creepy critters to play with! The other stations had playdough with shamrock cookie cutters and the other was set up for an art project!! One of Enzo's creations is below!!

He wasn't into painting today!!

Dinosaur Park

Enzo flying down the super slide!!

Today we went to one of Enzo's favorite parks to enjoy some time outside since we have had rain all week! It's actually called Magic Mountain Playground so it has a castle and dragon theme but Enzo thinks its a dinosaur!! Dinosaur Park it is!! He loves all the eight slides this park has!! He spent almost all his time running up the side of the "dinosaur" and down one of the slides. He did go on the super slide once which begins at the top of the castle but said that was enough!! Then we went to the field to play soccer for a bit! Francesco and Enzo ran around chasing eachother for a bit, then they both decided they were tired!! It was a great way to spend a beautiful day together!!

More flowers for Mamma! Such a thoughtful boy!!
