Uncle Chris' Wedding!!

Mental preparation for the big job ahead!!

Enzo got another chance at performing the duty of ring bearer at my brother Chris' wedding. My brother also asked Francesco to be a groomsman and his then future bride, Yael asked me to be a bridesmaid! So all 3 of us had the pleasure of standing up for them!! The wedding was set for July 4th so we all headed up to Seattle for the event. It was nice to see all the family and friends of Chris and Yael. We had a great time at the rehearsal and got our steps down pat. Enzo walked in with Francesco and I which worked out great. During the ceremony he sat with Bamma and Papa. When it was time for him to present the rings to the best man he did so perfectly!! Third time was definitely the charm!! Miss Lyza Jane, Jen and Bob's daughter, did very good as well with the 2 other flower girls!! The golf club it was at had stunning views and made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony!! Chris and Yael planned a very touching ceremony and the two of them were handsome and beautiful respectively!! The wedding party looked so good as well, especially the little ones who always steal the show!! Enzo and Lyza were soooo excited to see each other again!! The 2 of them in their formal wear was adorable beyond words!! They just couldn't get enough of dancing together. Enzo definitely has his Nonna and Nonno's dancing in his blood. Whenever he hears music he starts dancing!! We all had a great time at the reception...laughing, dancing (look out Matt I have black mail video of you dancing!!) and having a good time!! Unfortunately we have a love/hate relationship with our camera...I hate it and Francesco loves it. Almost all of our pics were blurry, off color, or just bad so we'll have to rely on the professional pics!!
Later on in the evening a lot of us gathered at Chris and Yael's hotel to watch the fireworks show. We were exhausted from getting up super early that morning so we scraped ourselves together, well some of us-Enzo slept through it ALL! Bummer for him because it was a great show!! The next day we met up with Bamma, Papa, Uncle Bob, Auntie Jen, Matt and Lyza for lunch at Pike Place Market. It was really yummy! Afterwards we walked around the market and Enzo got to participate in a street show. He assisted the guy with his juggling act. He was soooo cute and followed directions perfectly with just a little bit of coaching from the sidelines!! We have it all on video but it is way to big to post so I will figure out a way to set up a link for it. For now enjoy the pic of his street performer debut!! Sadly our quick trip was over. It was a beautiful wedding and we were so glad to be a part of it!! Congrats Chris and Yael!!!

Look at all those gadgets!!

As we were getting off the plane Enzo told the pilot, "Thank you for driving the plane!!". We had not prompted him to do this. It was one of those proud parenting moments that makes you feel so good!! The pilot looked at me sort of in shock since he is so young I think and I told him I did not tell him to say that. The pilot was so impressed with him that he chased us down the jet way and asked if Enzo would like to check out the cockpit!! Of course he did!! The pilot who was the Captain told him to sit in his chair-what an honor!! He was so nice and turned back on all the instruments so that it was all lit up !! Enzo looked around in awe at all the buttons, levers, dials etc. The Captain patiently let me take pictures until I got a good one. Then Enzo once again with no prompting said "Thank you for letting me drive the plane!!" I of course thanked him several times as well for an awesome experience for our very seasoned frequent flyer!! This trip was his 42nd and 43rd flights!! Now off to get a few hours of sleep before Enzo and I take off first thing in the morning for Jen's farm in Minnesota!! What a quick turnaround that was-off one plane and back on another in 6 hours!! He was a total trooper though- never would I have tried that if he hadn't flown soooo may times before!!

Future Captain???
